the boston mini adventure

I took a nap that turned into me just sleeping for about 4 hours. I woke up feeling quite gross though. it was raining earlier and i wasnt home yesterday so the windowns on my end of the house are not open. i was tucked up in my blankets when i dozed off. and i woke up drowing in sweat and all clamy. not fun at all.
my legs are killing me today.
why?
Because yesterday--I walked up Bunker Hill.
291 steps to the top people.
and then..you have to walk back down em.
not to mention we got around Beantown on the T--more steps and standing and walking.
We spent hours in Faniuel Hall and Boston Common.
Really, I was on my feet all day.
and today...OW!
Yesterday was a good day over all.
I had what could quite possibly be my favorite new alchoholic beverage at Hard Rock.
talk abotu a drink.
it was Jack, Vodka, Southern Comfort and Blackberr liquoer w/ a lil splash of soda.
mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
about half way through it it tasted liek candy.
i did a shot before we left--and found out i really can not do shots anymore.
so weird. i used to love shots. now i can only do like half at a time. pussy shots. terrible.
that was mighty tasty though.
i was definitly a little drunk when i left there, not lying.
and i hold my alchohol pretty well but--i hadnt eaten all that much and that was a lot of fucking liquor for one drink.
OH! I have got to tell you about breakfast.
I'm dying to go get this again. we went to Friendly Toast in Porstmouth. If you've ever been there you know it's super quirky and interesting from the decor to the staff to the menu itself.
I had hansel and gretel waffles.
first off I havent had waffles in years.
and these were mmmm mmm mmm.
gingerbread waffles, pomegrante molasses and fresh whipped cream.
MMMMMMMM
so good.
and Katie and I (my friend Becky's cousin who joined us on yesterdays adventure) had frappes w/ out breakfast we did we did.
yum!
our entire reason for being in boston was RENT.
This years touring cast included ANthony Rapp and Adam Pascall in the roles of Mark and Roger(of course). It was so great to see the originals.
and good lord are they fantastic.
The girl that played MiMi had the most beautiful voice.
Becky and I were excited that the actor playing Angel and Maureen were the ones we saw in NY last year.
FANTASTIC!
It was a very good day.
I had a few moments where I would have loved to just walk away and be alone for a moment. and a few were I took the opportunity to do so.
but all in all. succesful day.
did some shopping and had some great food.
and..saw Rent.
